ididitididitididit! i completed my first crochet project!! it's just a little double flower which i'm not sure what to do with yet, but that's beside the point :)
my enthusiasm comes on the heels of MUCHO frustration with trying to teach myself how to crochet. i have two other crochet ufo's (unfinished objects) that are each about halfway done including the hat i'd picked out for the ravelympics. i'm not sure if i'll be able to finish that one in time but that remains to be seen. i did enter this little flower into the "freedance" event...little but big when you consider all the frogging, blood, sweat, and tears that went into it and the ufo's that got me to this point. dang it fees good! :D

that came out great! I know how you feel, but for me it's when it comes to knitting! I have done some basic simple stuff but I can't even imagine how one could knit a HAT or something!

but yes, i knit, and hopefully soon i can say i crochet with confidence as well, but i have yet to tackle any project that involves arms or limbs of any kind, lol, very scary!
you could maybe make that into a head band...cute!
next stop, make booties for John! haha!!

it's funny you say that joelle...i don't think he will read this but one of my unfinished projects at the moment are a pair of slippers for john...very manly and professorish looking though i assure you, haha.
