we're baaaaaack!

dmitri brown photography

and it was incredible!!!

i can hardly believe that's us in the picture! it's just the first one i've gotten from our photographer and we'll have to wait a few more weeks for the rest to be processed but based on this one it should be well worth it! i'll share a few snapshots we got ourselves of the day for now though...enough waiting already, eh?!

a surprise delivery came to our hotel the morning of the wedding...a bouquet of my favorite peonies from my fiance's family! they couldn't have been more perfect!

the sa-weeet boutineers we had made by eventcetera for my fiance and our witnesses
(yes, his was the batman one)

the view from the ruins where we were married

into the church we go!

mr and mrs!

in the peace and quiet of the churchyard...i wish we could have just stayed there forever

it was such a beautiful and personal way to make things official for us and we're so happy with how the day went and that we were able to relax and enjoy eachother and the beauty around us on such a special occassion. i guess the one unexpected element was the incredibly strong wind blowing all around us as you migth have noticed in the photos. it blew my veil right off towards the end of the ceremony so i can't wait to show you the photos we got at the hotel beforehand where i have all my proper little vintage accessories! there may even be some photos of me in my wedding dress standing in a stream with my red wellies on under a stone bridge in the scottish countryside!! how cool is that?! haha!

stay tuned...i've got a slew of photos from the rest of the trip which i will start posting tomorrow!

Congratulations Mrs!!! I've been eagerly awaiting your return posts. It looks absolutely gorgeous and like you had just the day you were hoping for (minus the wind, but I think such clear blue skies are a coup considering Scotland weather, right?) anyway, BEAUTIFUL and cannot wait to hear more!

thanks everyone! i am on pins and needles waiting for the wedding photos to be processed....ahh, can't wait to see them!!

i should have mentioned that Kirby of the etsy shop button+boo made my dress! it was so nice to have a vintage inspired piece that was also unique to me!

dylan...we definitely got lucky with the weather. it had been sprinkling here and there in the days leading up to the wedding and a little that morning. as soon as we got to the site, the clouds LITERALLY parted and the sun shone down throughout the duration of the afternoon until we headed to dinner...crazy blessed! but even with the rain, the landscape there is INCREDIBLE!! i was thinking of you and outlander here and there as i looked out on it, ha :)

yes the "official" photos from the wedding photographer will take about a month to process but he said it may be quicker so i hope that they might be ready to share by the end of july perhaps? i hope!
