well i've got all the finalized drawings done for the embroidered towels i'm making for the shop but i'm waiting on a new transfer pen to arrive by mail since they were all out at the local craft shop...grr, i hate it when that happens.
i've been just itching to do some more embroidery though so i started one of those projects that i've had waiting in the wings for eons. it's a simple clothespin bag for camping made from sturdy cream sail cloth so i'm brightening it up with some trim and embroidery from the one and only jenny hart.

the embroidery patterns come from her camp out transfers and i'm basing the clothespin bag itself off of this freebie i found on my internet wanderings. i'm changing it up a bit so that the size is different and so that it can hang with a loop and a handy dandy carabiner clip to the clothesline (or tent if it happens to rain again...fingers crossed it doesn't!).
i'm currently a bit enamoured with the top-stitching i just finished to secure the trim along the opening of the bag in a contrasting pool colored floss which shows up so well against the deep turquoise trim.
i better get back to embroidering then so i can sew the bag up and show you the finished project in a few days!

I love Sublime Stitching!! I have a book full of patterns by them! I also have the "Black Apple" set which I haven't even cracked open yet!
I LOVE the camping set!! So cute!
So cute! One of these days I am going to learn how to embroider.
It's looking great! I'm going to have to look into Sublime Stitching and dust off my embroidery skills.
