fall harvest

apple bins

like many others, fall is my favorite season of all. there's just something about the smell in the air, the heavy homemade dishes, and the ability to finally pile on sweaters and blankets that makes me deliriously happy. o and the cider doughnuts of course are to. die. for.

here are a few of my favorite photos from our weekend trip up to new hampshire for the harvest festival in hampton falls at applecrest farms...a beautiful day and some of my favorite things which i hope you will enjoy too!

cider and doughnuts
homemade cider doughnuts with cinnamon and sugar...mmm!

bluegrass band
a local bluegrass band played...made me regret not practicing my fiddle very often this year...

hampshire apples
beautiful hampshire apples filled the orchard, among others.

bird's nest
and we found a little bird's nest tucked away in one of the trees!

hayride
hayrides through the fields...

pumpkins
piles and piles of huge of great big pumpkins

pumpkin patch
where's charlie brown when you need him?

That doughnut looked good!! I also love fall and sweaters and cider and pumpkins!! Oh and bluegrass - well, every time I say I like bluegrass in front of Aubrey, he corrects me and says what I like is Celtic not bluegrass...he says if it is chicken in a bread pan pickin out dough - that is bluegrass :) And that is not what I like :)

yeah baby. I wanna make some cider donuts. I am planning a fall meal for my Korean friends: pork chops with apples, roasted butternut squash salad and homemade cider donuts & cider for dessert.

Dang girl, I am jealous of your fall action. I need to get mine on!
